The very core of our businesses is our responsibility towards protecting the environment, we are committed to raising the levels of recycled materials as scrapping metal has more benefits than just taking your old vehicles and scrap off of your hands. By bringing your scrap metal to us it means that you are helping to divert waste from landfill, allowing waste materials to be recycled into something new which then uses less energy and in turn reduces c02 emissions as there is less requirement for virgin material which requires natural resources such as coal. Luckily metal can withstand continued recycling with out losing quality.

All ferrous and non ferrous metals from iron to stainless steel to zinc, copper or aluminium can be recycled, making it easier for businesses to bundle scrap together and it is classed as an environmental activity so is an easy way to  take corporate responsibility with so much more emphasis on companies to recycle all raw materials to achieve an ambitious "zero landfill" target.

To further our dedication to lowering our carbon footprint, we have an all electric shredder which is the only one in the UK that has the capabilities to shred engines. 

Metal shredding is an aid to the recycling process, so much so it is considered essential.

when metal is shredded it becomes easier to separate into ferrous and non ferrous material to which it then gets melted down and recycled into new material. This uses less energy which then makes it eco-friendlier. 

We also have an on-site baler which we use after our scrap vehicles have been depolluted. This again reduces haulage needs as we can load more compressed shell's onto each lorry.

Scrap metal as you can imagine will often be heavy and voluminous which can present a challenge for logistics but here we have the shredder and a baler plus the haulage fleet to take care of it all on one site which means we can transport with greater efficiency and doing our part towards reducing our carbon footprint.
